Remember the days when the internet was used for MAKING friends, and not just passively aggressively pissing and moaning about the people you supposedly care about? P̶e̶p̶p̶e̶r̶i̶d̶g̶e̶ ̶F̶a̶r̶m̶ Wet Cassettes remembers.

This split was conceived out of an internet friendship born between Sunday Rathskeller and HAHN that began around the onset of the pandemic. Nick (HAHN) reached out to Sweet Briar Tapes (which Sunday plays some hand in) and they agreed to release the first HAHN album "Hope America Hears Nothing." From there- the two have traded boxes and boxes of tapes across the country and have exchanged probably hundreds of emails that have dealt in a lot more than just music. How do two sets of highly-creative individuals face not only the "regular" life crises we all roll through, but those also brought on by the virus? You'll find some answers here in the audio and artwork of their split release.

On their side of the split, Sunday Rathskeller serves up four tracks of experimental industrial-tinged noise that they have been crafting for years across various project names, sure to please fans of Xiu Xiu and a number of Justin Broadrick projects. HAHN, on the other hand, dives for the first time into crafting audio assisted by computers, specifically, a modular synthesizer software called VCV Rack. A combination of that engine, his homemade noise boxes, and some stream-of-consciousness poetry, result in five cuts of droney, jagged, pulsing soundscapes sure to warp your perception of post-Myspace, but pre-next-pandemic, reality.
